2023 Holiday Gift Guide

I'm a Gift Giver. No matter the time of year, I love finding that "perfect" gift for someone I love! There's thought behind every gift. Whether, I'm sharing something I myself own and LOVE, or knowing the other person's favorite things, I'm putting thought behind the gift.

While patients are participating in Physical Therapy, there's always a patient or family member that wants to know where they can get a specific item. Those items may be equipment we use in PT, or items we talk about that would make life easier. Check out our Products We Use Page, for some of these items.

But for the 2023 Holidays, I thought I'd combine a little of all of that. Introducing, Gift Guides for the Fitness Enthusiast, for those who've just had surgery, for the Golfer, and for those that Work From Home. I've put together items I recommend to these individuals that are patients, some fun items, and some items I myself own and use.

Here's to some Fun Holiday Shopping!

Gift Guide for the Fitness Enthusiast

These gifts are perfect whether your Fitness Enthusiast enjoys working out at home, heading to the gym, or taking classes.

You can't go wrong with these Leggings. I own multiple pair, they are butter soft, and an affordable version of Lululemon's. I love the side pockets to hold my gym card and phone as I head in for a quick work-out or on the trails while walking the dogs.

Every patient always wants to know where to get that green stretching strap used in their PT sessions. Here it is! It's featured on our Products We Use page, and is a popular item among our patients!

TRX is a great body weight resisted work-out at home or on the go. If your Fitness Enthusiast is looking to up their home work-outs, TRX offers some Great variations to your standard strengthening!

No more thin exercise mats that hurt your knees, or feeling the hard floor on your tailbone. Airex is a thick, durable exercise mat that I've used for years!

If you're taking your work-outs hard, you're gonna want to massage out some of that soreness. TheraGun has amazing products.

If you've been to any of Moveology's Events, you've seen the Nectar Hydration Packets. I'm a fan. I'm not sponsored, I just really Love the flavors, and no Sugar, just Electrolytes!

Post-Surgery Gift Guide

After Surgery Gift Guide Collage

I kept this gift guide basic. Your loved one may need to talk to their PT about more specific items that may be useful post-surgery. But here are a few all-around useful items, and some feel good items.

Controlling swelling and circulation is always a top priority after surgery. This wedge pillow is great. Get those legs elevated and promote circulation. These Wedge pillows also often help reduce low back pain for those that have difficulty lying flat.

The Stretch Strap is featured here again. If they've had an orthopedic surgery, they will probably work on ROM with PT at some point. The stretch strap may just be featured in their exercises, go ahead and get it. They'll want it later!

Another way to control swelling after surgery is with a Cold Pack. I've been using Chattanooga's ColPacs since I started in PT. They've been around that long, so you know they're GOOD!

Why not let your loved one to pick out some good Prime Movies to watch while they are hanging around the house more.

After surgery, you're loved one is going to be cozying up for a few days, why not upgrade their pillowcase. There are benefits to using silk pillowcases, but what better reason than to have something soft up against their head and face.

I'm a fan of Stanley. ESPECIALLY the Ice Flow flip straw Stanley. The straw flips up, but then folds down, and you can throw it in your bag without it leaking. If you drink water on the go, and you haven't been convinced by Stanley, try the Ice Flow Tumbler!

Golfer Gift Guide

If the golfer in your life is new to golf, or been golfing for years, chances are they could use some of these items for their next round of golf.

The Golf Forever Swing Trainer is used by many of the top golf trainers and teams. You may have seen Scottie Scheffler as the spokesperson, but golf teams from Texas A&M to Florida State are using them in their programs. Improve your golfer's game off the course with resistance training and stretching.

A great stocking stuffer or gift is always more golf balls, and you can't go wrong with the Titleist Pro V1s.

These Travis Mathew Cuater golf shoes are a big hit in our family. My husband has been wearing them for a few years now! Ortholite insoles provide the comfort his feet, prone to plantar fasciitis, need.

If your golfer is new to golf, they are going to want a range finder. And, if they've been playing for awhile, they probably want a new one!

Why not bring a little music to the course?! These magnetic bluetooth speakers are great to slap on the side of the golf cart and go!

And of course, if you're still wondering what the best gift would be, you can always help your golfer improve their game with a Moveology Physical Therapy and Wellness Golf Wellness Performance Package gift card. Contact Us today, and we’ll have your golfer scheduled in no time!

Work From Home Gift Guide

Work From Home Gift Guide Collage

If you know someone that's working from home, these gifts will promote a healthy work desk environment to keep their body feeling good after a long day.

Keep your loved one loose. After a day or a few hours of work, they are gonna wanna stretch and roll out the body. A foam roller is a great quick tool to get some stretching and movement through the day.

An ergonomic, vertical mouse will set the wrist and hand up for success on a long work day.

I'm a big promoter of having a laptop stand for your desk if you work from home. While the sit-stand desks are great, they are not affordable, or an option for all of us. The laptop stand allows you to change your position temporarily, take a meeting while standing, or get a better angle on your monitor to reduce neck pain.

A luxury item, a walking pad under the desk. Combine it with the laptop stand, and now you can get some steps and work done all at once. WIN WIN!

And again TheraGun makes a debut. Gotta work out those kinks after a day of work!

I love a New Planner for a New Year. I use them all year, but there’s something about the beginning of the year, and the intentions are Strong. Nothing makes my heart Smile more that those Fresh New Planners, and maybe a fun new pen or marker to go with it!

There you have it, a few great gift guides to get you started on your Holiday Shopping!
